STILLWATER – The hunt for good football prospects never stops at Oklahoma State, and sometimes that hunt includes Cowboy football legacies. The latest offer to go out goes to a familiar name to OSU fans: Dez Bryant….Jr.
The youngest Bryant checks in at 5-10, 170 pounds and plays his high school ball at powerhouse Southlake [TX] Carroll but transferred there from Colleyville [TX] Heritage during the offseason.
He currently holds offers from Kentucky, Texas A&M and SMU, as well as Arkansas State, Texas State and Sacramento State.
He also posted a 4.46 40-time and 4.18 shuttle time, as well as a 9-foot, 2-inch broad jump at UA Next Dallas this spring. Considering the fact he’s still just a sophomore, I would expect those numbers to get better over the next two years. But those are already great numbers.
The clips posted below were from the summer of his freshman season. Definitely showing some signs of his dad with plenty of room and time left to grow.
The Cowboys had a chance to land another OSU legacy in Tatum Bell Jr., who ended up at UNLV during this signing period, but Morris and Co. offered too late and didn’t have enough time to build a relationship. But in today’s era of transfer portal, anything’s possible.
