Oklahoma State Places Two On Preseason All-Big 12 Team
STILLWATER – The Big 12 released its offensive and defensive All-Big 12 teams on Wednesday afternoon and Oklahoma State had two players make the cut.
You can see Pokes Report publisher Robert Allen’s voting for the team right here.
Senior offensive lineman Josh Sills made the offensive team, while senior safety Kolby Harvell-Peel made the defensive team.
You can see the complete offensive list here, and the complete defensive list here.
This is the first preseason honors for both players.
Sills, who transferred into the program from West Virginia prior to the 2020 season, was a first-team All-Big 12 selection by the Associated Press and an honor mention by the Big 12 coaches. He’s also one of just two Cowboy offensive linemen who started all 11 games this past season, with his 844 snaps on the season ranking first amongst OSU offensive linemen. Due to several injuries along the line, Sills was shifted to nearly every line position in 2020, with most of his starts coming at left guard.
As for Harvell-Peel, he was a second-team All-Big 12 selection in 2020, starting in 10 of 11 games this past season. He ranked fourth on the team with 44 total tackles, 31 of which were solo stops. He also recorded four pass breakups, and two interceptions.
Those numbers are coming off one of the best performances on the team as a sophomore where he recorded 71 total tackles, 13 pass breakups, five interceptions, two forced fumbles and fumble recoveries apiece.
