Oklahoma State Makes the Cut for 2022 Four-Star Forward

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State basketball had made yet another top schools list for a top-100 prospect in the 2022 class. Yohan Traore took to Instagram Friday evening and dropped his top-10, which included the Pokes.

Also included in the list is Louisville, LSU, Memphis, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UCLA, Utah and the Australian professional league, the NBL.

Traore is a 6-10, 225-pound power forward out of Dream City Christian in Glendale, AZ. He’s listed as a four-star prospect in the 2022 class and the No. 47 overall prospect in the country by the 247Sports composite rankings. They also list him as the No. 10 overall PF in the class and the No. 5 prospect out of AZ.

Rivals lists him as a five-star prospect and the No. 4 overall prospect in the country.

Throughout the spring and summer AAU circuits, Traore played for both Southern Assault and Dream Vision, the former being the team OSU commit Quion Williams played for this summer.

"There is not much on the floor Traore cannot do," Rivals.com national analyst Jamie Shaw said. wrote. "Now he still needs to continue to tighten it all up, but he has range on his jump shot, can score with his back to the basket, can slide his feet on defense, can attack the basket off the bounce, it is a full quiver of arrows for him.

"He showed glimpses of brilliance in this camp, and he competed, which was not always the case in this setting. When it comes to his NBA prospects, you wish he was a couple inches taller, but for college, this will not matter as much. Traore, of Napa (Calif.) Prolific Prep, is currently ranked No. 64 in the ‘22 Rivals150 and averaged 12.4 points and 3.8 rebounds on 57.4-percent shooting for the week."
