Editor’s Note: This story was published on Saturday morning Jan. 2 and later that afternoon Clavin Bundage declared for the NFL Draft. Keep score with this story as Oklahoma State is solid with Malcolm Rodriguez coming back as a “super senior” and they lose Bundage. How does it go with the other four Robert Allen put on his list.

STILLWATER – Okay, so we jumped the gun a little with our projected three-deep that included some players that still have decisions to make.

Is whether they come back or not dependant on whether OSU says they will pay for their scholarship? Also, isn't it incumbent on the NCAA allowing schools to have more than 85 on scholarship?

RA - Will Dee Anderson come back? I think he was injured some this year and we did no see him do much. How about Logan Carter and Dayton Metcalf, Cowboy Backs? Thanks.

Interesting questions.....

I suppose they could come back as walk-on's also (if OSU wouldn't/couldn't come up with shp money)

although not officially explained, it is expected that the NCAA will allow more than 85 scholarship (since you can have 25 in a class, then potentially up to 25 additionally - but probably not more than the # of seniors that you actually have)

Dee Anderson is gone. We think Carter will come back. Not sure on Dayton.

Well they wouldn't come back as walk-ons they will be on scholarship for sure. And the super seniors will NOT count towards the 85 man limit this year.

you seem to be missing the nuance of the discussion, Marshall

They COULD be walkons. (perhaps not at OSU, but possibly) None of us knows how OSU's budget is going to be impacted into 2021. We're already cutting coaches and salaries and staff. are we going to allow people into the stadium this year? If so, will they come?

also, if they do not set a "limit" (a standard), then can teams take more portal transfers (grad transfers) to fill up to a full complement of 25 super seniors? There could be a whole lot of kids looking to transfer if their teams cannot accommodate the extra scholly's.

CC, I believe the ncaa would likely allow "extra" players on the rosters if they are "super seniors" that came back to their own school. they would allow grad transfers and such up to the 85 limit.

Calvin Bundage just declared for the NFL Draft via Twitter. Robert will have an article on that momentarily.

of course... but that is the whole point of the discussions and the continual questions.

We all believe something, but nothing has been confirmed.

Think about it, why in the world would the NCAA restrict movement of these kids after having given them the opportunity in the first place, especially if it's their teams fault (no scholly) and not their own fault?

Why not let them transfer if a team has the money? Who cares if the "rich get richer" for one season, it Covid related, for goodness sakes.

What does "up to the 85 man limit" mean? They already said no limit (supers won't count), so if your own kids don't count, then should super senior transfers (who's bankrupt teams can't provide for them) count?

You're probably correct, but a statement needs to be made at some point.

and like always NCAA, just get out of the way and let the kids play.

Does the fact the Hula Bowl extended an invite to Josh Sills indicate he will not be coming back?

Even though they extended an offer, he can still turn it down and return. Im not sure what his mindset is right now but at this point, either decision would not shock me.
