Oklahoma State Offers 2023 Four-Star Forward Keanu Dawes

STILLWATER – The offers continue to go out in the 2023 class, with the latest being a fast-rising forward out of Houston.

Following a dominant run on the spring AAU circuit, Oklahoma State has extended an offer to Keanu Dawes.

Dawes is a 6-8, 210-pound power forward/wing out of Stratford High School in the Houston area, currently holds nearly 15 offers, including Houston, Kansas State, Rice, Sam Houston, Stanford, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and UNLV among others, with most coming since December 2021.

Dawes has told 247Sports he’s been in daily contact with Texas A&M.

He currently plays his AAU ball with Texas Takeover Elite.

While holding several offers the past few months, Dawes didn’t see his first recruiting ranking from 247Sports until late April, with him also becoming a composite four-star as well.

He’s also seen a position change recently as he used to be a point guard, and not one of today’s new-aged 6-6 and above point guards. However, he’s kept his ability to shoot the ball well from outside, which has helped him create mismatches on the outside. He can also handle the ball well.

Boynton and Co. is still looking to add the first piece to the 2023 class following the decommitment of four-star shooting guard out of Bixby, Parker Friedrichsen.
