Oklahoma State Makes Final Six of 2023 Four-Star Keanu Dawes
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is in the mix to land one of the top power forward prospects in the 2023 class.
As you can see, Dawes has narrowed it down to Oklahoma State, BYU, Rice, Texas, Texas A&M and Utah.
Keanu Dawes is a 6-8, 210-pound power forward out of Stratford HS in Houston, TX. He’s currently ranked as the No. 103 overall prospect in the 2023 class according to the 247Sports composite rankings, the No. 22 overall power forward in the country and the No. 8 overall prospect out of Texas.
Mike Boynton and Co. extended an offer to Dawes at the beginning of this summer, which means the coaching staff has had a pretty big impact in a pretty short amount of time.
Dawes spoke with Brandon Jenkins of 247Sports about his top schools, as well as his intention to get some official visits in in the coming months before making a decision this spring.
He also had some pretty good things to say about the Cowboys and the coaching staff.
"Fit was a very big thing with them,” Dawes told 247Sports. “I would hear from other coaches about how good of coaches that Mike Boynton and Terrence Rencher are. They are good people on and off the court. They really care about their players. It is more than just basketball."
Oklahoma State currently has one commitment in the 2023 class, four-star forward Brandon Garrison out of Del City, OK. Garrison is currently just a few ticks away from being a five-star prospects as he checks in as the No. 52 overall prospect in the 2023 class.
