Manhattan, KS – Oklahoma State will have some key contributors back this weekend but will be without its starting running back and right guard as the Pokes line up against Kansas State.

According to Dave Hunziker of the Cowboy Radio Network, starting running back Dominic Richardson and starting right guard Hunter Woodard will both be out with concussions. Outside receiver Braydon Johnson will also be out for a second-straight game with a hamstring injury.

However, starting center Preston Wilson is back after suffering an ankle injury a few weeks back, Brock Martin is back after missing the Texas game with a foot injury and safety Jason Taylor II is back after exiting the Texas game early with an apparent knee injury.

Safety Thomas Harper, corner Korie Black and corner Demarco Jones will also be available.

Like every team across college football at the midway point of the season, the Cowboys are a bit banged up, most injuries taking place in the past few weeks.

Richardson and Woodard being out are obvious blows the Cowboys’ run game. Richardson is the Pokes’ leading rushing on the season with 121 carries for 451 yards and eight touchdowns and 21 receptions for 218 yards.

Woodard is a redshirt senior on the roster, but he’s also the senior piece of this offensive line. He missed just two games last season, the first two of the season with injury, but started the final 12 and has played every game up to this point in the 2022 season.

However, getting starting center Preston Wilson back is a huge boost for the Cowboy offensive line. He’s missed the TCU and Texas games with an ankle injury.

Taylor II is one of the most important players on this Cowboy defense. He recorded a season-high nine solo tackles against Texas, as well as two interceptions. On the season, Taylor is sitting at 52 total tackles, 42 of which have been solo stops, six pass break ups and three interceptions.

Martin is another pivotal player on this defense as he’s recorded 19 total tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, one forced fumble and one pass break up.
