Update On Oklahoma State Athletics COVID Numbers

Every monday, Oklahoma State athletics releases their weekly update of the COVID-19 numbers within the athletics program, which includes all sports on campus.

Last week, there were seven current cases, three of which were in football. We know one postive test to be Shane Illingworth, who did not show symtpoms. This weel, while there are still seven current cases, there is only one in football. 

We do know this is no longer Illingworth as he completed his COVID protocols and quaratine, which ended on Saturday. 

It is not known who the positive case is but it is our understanding that it is not a player whom we regularly see on the field. 

Oklahoma State athletics and football in particular have done a great job the entirety of the season with handling the spread of the virus and keeping players healthy and available. Other programs have had to shut down facilities and practices, but the Cowboys have never once had a hiccup. 

Shane Illingworth will be able to join the team again this week and get ready for the game against Baylor. Outside of todays testing, the players will be tested again on Wednesay and then one final time this week on Friday before they travel to Waco.
