STILLWATER – Get ready for an old Big Eight/Big 12 throwback as Oklahoma State has announced a future home-and-home series with Colorado. The Buffaloes are set to visit Stillwater on Sept. 13, 2036, with the Cowboys making the return trip the next season on Sept. 12, 2037.
The two teams have played a total of 47 games during the series that dates back to 1920, with the most recent game taking place in the Valero Alamo Bowl in 2016, a 38-8 win for the Pokes. In fact, the Cowboys have won the past three games against the Buffs, the Alamo Bowl win, a 30-17 win in Boulder in 2008 and a 31-28 win in Stillwater in 2009.
This series adds to the growing list Power Five non-conference games scheduled by OSU, with future dates with Arizona State (2022 and 2023), Arkansas (2024, 2027 and 2032, 2033), Oregon (2025 and 2026, Alabama (2028 and 2029) and Nebraska (2034 and 2035).
