JUCO Offensive Lineman Tyrone Webber Names Oklahoma State In Top 5
The offensive line is the one position Oklahoma State has fell behind on a bit in the 2022 recruiting class with a good number of their targets electing to commit elsewhere. They are trying to strengthen up the line in this class as they head into the senior seasons of these 2022 recruits but it won’t be just using high school recruiting but including some junior college talent as well.
The Oklahoma State staff is looking for longer guys right now to play the tackle position because they feel they have enough interior bodies in the offensive line room.
Tyrone Webber, New Mexico Military Institute offensive tackle, who is 6’5 290 pounds included the Cowboys in his top five list today along with Baylor, Ole Miss, Houston, and Syracuse.
This list is trimmed down from a total of 24 offers.
Webber is originally from Canada so Oklahoma State may have a bit of an easier path to land him because of their success in recent years with Canadian athletes and making them feel at home before sending them off to the professional ranks.
Webber was selected as a NJCAA 1st Team All American and is the top lineman coming from Canada in this class, although he attends New Mexico Military Institute.
Oklahoma State has one offensive lineman committed in this class in Austin Kawecki and the staff hopes to bring in 3-4 in this class.
