Steelers Beat Dallas in Hall of Fame Game, Rudolph Performs Well

While it certainly wasn’t the prettiest football game ever played, the Hall of Fame game meant we’re in for football every week until February. The Pittsburgh Steelers picked up the 16-3 win over over the Dallas Cowboys in Canton, OH Thursday evening.

Former Oklahoma State Cowboy Mason Rudolph got the start at quarterback for the Steelers and other than a fumble on the opening drive, played decently.

As predicted, Rudolph played about a quarter and a half of the first half as he played just the first three drives of the game. He went 6-of-9 for 84 yards, which included a nice 45-yard connection with Chase Claypool.

As for James Washington, he finished the night with no catches on two targets.

On the defensive side of the ball for the Steelers, former OSU linebacker/edge rusher Calvin Bundage certainly turned some heads as he recorded two solo tackles on the night, including a stop on the opening kickoff of the second half.

As for Dallas, tight end Blake Jarwin did not make the trip to Canton as he’s still working to get back to full health following a knee injury suffered in week one of the 2020 season.

Both teams are back in action next week as the Steelers will head to Philadelphia to face the Eagles on Thursday, August 12, while the Cowboys will head East just a bit from Oxnard, CA to Glendale, AZ to face the Arizona Cardinals on Friday, August 13.
