Cade Cunningham Back to His Old Ways in Second NBA Game

Former Oklahoma State star Cade Cunningham is starting to look like his old self with Detroit as he dropped 20 points in his second game with the Pistons. The performance, however, came in a 111-91 loss to No. 2 overall pick Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets.

Cunningham went 8-of-18 from the floor with four rebounds, two assists, three steals and a block. He also went 4-of-9 from 3-point range.

As for Green, he dropped 25 points on 6-of-11 shooting, 3-of-5 from 3-point range and 10-of-11 from the free throw line, and that was one of the major differences in their performances. Cunningham hasn’t been to the foul line in the first two games of his NBA career.

However, Cade is starting to look more and more comfortable out on the court.

But he’s not just heating up from beyond the arc, Cade is doing what he does best and is getting to the bucket with ease and hitting shots in some rather heavy traffic.

This was also a really cool moment for the Cowboy fans who were watching the game. Cade was mic’d in the first half and put his leadership skills on display.

Cunningham and the Pistons are back in action this coming Thursday against the Spurs in the battle of the winless as both teams are 0-2 to start the Summer League. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. on ESPNU.

I was flipping channels last night and came across the Piston's game and Cade was dropping trey's all over the place, for 24 points.

I mostly noticed that Detroit has a ton of freshman players (Cade, Luka/Iowa), a kid picked 19th, and Brey a top pick in last year's class).

Summer league is sort of goofy, with them getting 10 fouls and such, but I like watch so many from one draft class all out there together.

I was scrolling through the NFL games offered today, and came across the Pistons/Lakers tonight.... I guess I'll tune that in (versus Chargers/Rams in the new stadium)
