Spencer Sanders is the focus of fans and media and many believe, so goes Sanders, then so goes the Cowboys. That's a good thing!

STILLWATER – Spencer Sanders is the starting quarterback for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the red-shirt junior from Denton Ryan High School and the former Gatorade Player of the Year in Texas is starting his third season as starter. That’s a pretty good indicator when you start for a third season and you’re only in your fourth season of college.

good lord... not yet another "please believe the hype" article.

starting his third season as starter. That's a pretty good indicator when you start for a third season and you're only in your fourth season of college.

it says our QB situation has been very dire.... he was going against Dru Brown, and then a true freshman who had no time with the team because of COVID.

This dog should have been hunting 3 years now, but truth is he couldn't beat out walkon Corndog, didn't beat out Brown until the eve of the season kickoff, and likely would not have beaten out the freshman if not for COVID.

He better be really damn good, I mean really good, or get him out and give the kid a shot.

He has no pocket presents. Needs to learn how to count 3 sec and then move. He also cannot read def very well. I hope I'm wrong.

yeah... supposedly Coach Rattay got that stuff fixed... at least if you read the articles.

some of that was the OLine too.... i.e., counting to 3 seconds won't' help if you only have 2.5 seconds

RA claimed Sanders is not going to average 80 yards rushing per game (implying more passing), I guess we're about to find out. (at least he didn't list those carries for him in the RB totals report)

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, and buy into the reports of progress. My big deal with him is turnovers, he fumbled too much, and center exchanges weren't always where they should be.... just basic focus stuff.

if this dog is going to hunt, it better be demonstrated before conference play starts.... that's all I'm saying.

I don't want to pick on any players, but they have to perform this year like no years before, because we have 1) depth to replace them with, and 2) a desperate conference situation where we need to showcase our team.
