Gundy Explains Run Game Issues and Backs Up Some on OL Criticism

STILLWATER – It is all about the running attack right now. Oklahoma State has rushed for 54-yards in the opening win over Missouri State and improved with 140-yards rushing against a better defensive front last Saturday in the 28-23 win over Tulsa.

“Actually, they probably played better than I gave them credit for,” Gundy said of the offensive line at his Monday news conference.

why is there no talk about passing to Pressley? He's not a freshman, and is supposed to be greased lightning in a bottle. When Wallace went out we moved an inside man over there.

Why is there no talk about that receiver?

help me out here, what am I missing?

Are you asking why nobody is mentioning him or saying he was not involved? Presley had 4 catches.

ah... yes... sorry for the confusion.... I'm asking the first... and not even that. I'm not asking why he's not talked about (this article only mentioned the two freshmen outside receivers), I'm more asking why he hasn't been moved outside to fill one of the voids if he's that good... since we did that in the past when our go-to receiver Wallace went out.

The discussions have only been about putting the freshmen in to replace the injured outside receivers.... perhaps they are the best option to move into those spots, but no mention of moving Pressley to the outside while guys recover. Maybe that's not the best option, I don't know, but it just seemed odd to me, to only talk about why we can't do this or we can't do that because we have to use freshman on the outside.
