Tre Flowers Is on the Move, Back in Orange and Black

Former Oklahoma State safety Tre Flowers is on the move in the NFL and will once again be playing in orange and black.

Flowers started in the first three games of the season but had not logged a defensive snap in the past two games. He did, however, play 31 special teams snaps in the past two games. After Flowers was waived by Seattle, head coach Pete Carroll gave some insight as to why Flowers was placed on waivers.

Flowers was drafted by Seattle in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Through four seasons in Seattle, Flowers played in 47 career games, 40 of which were starts, and had 202 tackles, two sacks, three interceptions, 16 pass break ups, five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He currently has 17 tackles on the season, 15 of which have been solo stops.

PFF has Flowers graded out at 52.9, more than 10 points higher than current Bengals’ corner Eli Apple, who’s graded at 42.5. So, there’s a better than not chance Flowers is a starting corner for the Bengals.
