STILLWATER – Oklahoma State posted its fourth consecutive win Thursday with a 10-3 victory over Seton Hall at O'Brate Stadium.

The seventh-ranked Cowboys improved to 11-6 with the win, while SHU fell to 1-13.

Victor Mederos recorded his first win in an OSU uniform with a 6 1/3 inning effort in which he struck out four and allowed three runs on eight hits to move to 1-1.

Mederos' battery mate, Chase Adkison, had a big day at the plate as he smashed two home runs and collected three RBIs. Roc Riggio also had pair of hits, including a homer, while David Mendham drove in three runs.

The Cowboys once again got out to an early lead as Riggio led off with a first-inning single, and Zach Ehrhard beat a throw for a bunt single. Jake Thompson then grounded a ball to first base that led to an error, with Riggio scoring on the play.

Seton Hall quickly answered with a run of their own in the top of the second. After a leadoff double and a wild pitch that advanced the runner to third, an RBI groundout to second evened the score at 1-1.

OSU would open up a four-run lead in the fourth and never look back. Caeden Trenkle singled with one out, and two batters later, Hueston Morrill blooped a double to center field allowing Trenkle to score from first. Adkison then hit a towering two-run home run to left field for his first homer of the season, and Riggio followed that with a round tripper of his own, pulling a 2-2 pitch into the seats in right. It was Riggio's third homer of the season and gave the Cowboys a 5-1 lead.

The Cowboys rallied for another four runs in the sixth. Adkison got things started when he led off the inning with his second bomb of the day, this time sending it out to left center. Later in the inning, OSU loaded the bases with one out, and Mendham delivered a bases-clearing double into the right-center field gap to make the score 9-1.

SHU plated a pair of runs in the seventh, but Nolan McLean and Jimmy Ramsey kept the visitors off the scoreboard over the final 2 2/3 to secure the win.

The two teams return to action Friday at 6 p.m.
