STILLWATER – We’ve talked for a long time about having a Pokes Report event; a tailgate, a gathering where we could all see each other and talk Oklahoma State. Pokes Report and our friends at Bad Brad’s Bar-B-Q have come up with it.

On Saturday, April 23 head coach Mike Gundy and the Cowboys will put a wrap on spring football with the Spring Finale. Gundy is hoping to have some kind of a short game combined with a practice. It starts at 1 p.m. and the event likely will be over by 3 p.m. Pokes Report has jumped back into NIL, so we are helping with showing Oklahoma State football players they have support. We have contracted with OSU defensive end Collin Oliver’s representative to have him join us and our premium subscribers at Bad Brad’s (5302 West 6th Avenue in Stillwater) starting at 4 p.m. following the Spring Finale. Thanks to our partner Vernon Wilson, owner of Bad Brad’s, our premium subscribers attending will get 30% off all food and drink with the exception of alcohol. You will have time to get there and after the hour of barbeque, photos, autographs and a question-and-answer session with you then you can get back to campus and Cowgirls softball and Cowboys baseball.

Show your support and enjoy some time with the freshman All-American, finalist for National Freshman of the Year, and unanimous Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year. Oliver had one of the best freshman seasons by a Cowboy defender ever as he finished with 29 tackles, 20 unassisted tackles, 15.5 tackles-for-loss, and 11.5 sacks.

Oliver is a smart and determined player with a great attitude and  is outgoing. He told me the other day after practice that he is excited about meeting with the fans on April 23.
