Oklahoma State Extends Offer to Rising 2024 Corner Out of Dallas Kimball

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State corners coach Tim Duffie is getting in on one of the up-and-coming corners out of Dallas in the 2024 class early as the Pokes are one of the first three schools to offer Alexander Rodgers.

The Pokes join Baylor and Texas Tech on offering Rodgers, with all three offers coming within the past week.

Rodgers has yet to receive any rankins by any national recruiting services, but I’d expect some to come right around the corner with him picking up three P5 D1 offers within the past week.

Rodgers is a 5-9, 165-pound defensive back out of Dallas (TX) Kimball in the 2024 class. With him set to enter his junior year this fall, I’d expect a growth spurt sometime within the next year or so.

This past season in nine games as a sophomore, Rodgers recorded 18 total tackles, 13 of which were solo stops. He also hauled in two interceptions for 61 yards, one of which was returned for a touchdown. He also recorded one pass break up and one fumble recovery for a touchdown as well.

Rodgers, as many athletes are nowadays, is a dual-sport athlete as he also runs track for Kimball, in which he posted a personal-best of 21.53 in the 200-meter, which is more than a second faster than the time he posted in the event as a freshman.
