STILLWATER – Our own Zachary Lancaster was “johnny-on-the-spot” with his coverage on Thursday morning right as Mustang’s two-way and two-sport standout Jacobe Johnson dropped his final five on Twitter and announced his decision will come Saturday night, Aug. 13 at the “Bring Out the Broncos” event at Bronco Stadium. Johnson is an excellent prospect and talented athlete.

Well struck out in Sanford. Osu getting mopped up on the recruiting trail. Small class or not we have all misses on all the top prospects. Lack of momentum is crazy disappointing. Tech and Baylor just shoot out like rockets tcu killin it and we have one of our best seasons ever and can't land anyone of the top prospects we target. I just don't understand. The outside world must really think Stillwater sucks that bad

I guess as long as we're one of the very best teams in terms of talented players who win most all of their games and send a good number to the NFL, it doesn't matter much if we're not recruiting the high star players (like Texas) to me at least. Would you rather have the best players on the field OR the most star studded players on the field?! Or perhaps some just view our coaches are so head and shoulders above our opponents coaching staffs that we beat them regardless of lacking equal or better players.

According to (current) info I've looked at, Texas is a fair step above us in terms of former players on NFL rosters. But these guys played on UT teams that in large majority, had little success against OSU. I suspect our overall teams were more talented or at least had better players on the field (better coached, better motivated and/or in better shape). OU has about twice OSU's NFL representation currently. Baylor and TCU are roughly equal to OSU's NFL roster listing. Texas Tech, Kansas State and Iowa State are behind us.

Our only losing record in the Big XII for the last dozen years I believe is to OU (tie with Baylor)......and OU is a tough measuring stick for OSU's program (or just about any team nationally). When they have a crowd at their Spring game that is about equal to our game day crowd, like it or not we're not comparing apples to apples.
