Good chance Spencer could move that 12 wins over top-25 teams to 13 next week, and to as much as 15 in the following weeks. Very impressive.

hmmm... down to 3 ranked teams in the B12, with KState dropping out next week.

He'll have at minimum chances to beat ranked KSU, ranked team in B12 CCG and a ranked team in bowl game. If OU goes on a roll, they may be ranked by week 12.

I'm not interested in statistical anomalies like that, my comment was more akin to the possibility of no B12 teams in the playoff unless TCU wins out, and that would still be a maybe.

by comparison the SEC has 7 ranked teams. The conference may have parity, but it's looking more like parity in mediocrity, unless something changes.

Now you're sounding like every national (dufus) on the radio or tv. There has only been 1 1-loss P5 conference champion miss the playoffs. There has been zero undefeated P5 conference champions miss the playoffs. We're in reasonably good shape for the CFP if we go undefeated the rest of the way. TCU is a lock if they go 13-0.

actually, conference champions Baylor was 11-1 in the first playoff and missed out, and Ohio State was 21-1 in 2018 and missed out.

and there have never been 4 undefeated P5 teams in the playoff......

long way to go yet.... the first poll will be interesting. (e.g., Oregon is ranked between us and TCU in the voters polls)
