STILLWATER – I’m pretty sure the best gift Oklahoma State ever gave up to Bedlam rival Oklahoma was OSU President Burns Hargis, with aggressive coaxing from the OU administration, changing his vote at the Big 12 meetings to allow Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield an extra year of eligibility by waving the Big 12 transfer within conference rule. It’’s not a quarterback in football, but I think the best gift from the Sooners to Oklahoma State is transfer pitcher Ben Abram.
