LUBBOCK, Texas – Explosive offense highlighted the No. 7/7 Oklahoma State Softball team's run-rule victory over Texas Tech, 8-0, to clinch the series win, Sunday afternoon at Rocky Johnson Field. Win the win, OSU moved to 41-9 and 10-5 in Big 12 play, while Texas Tech moved to 31-21 and 5-13 against conference opposition.

Oklahoma State's starter Kyra Aycock pitched a complete-game shutout, the sixth of her career and her first over a Big 12 opponent.

Neither team cracked the scoreboard until the Cowgirls busted things open with a four-run fourth inning.

Following a Kiley Naomi double, and a wild pitch that advanced her to third, Chyenne Factor laid down a perfect bunt to bring home Naomi and put OSU on the board.\

The ball game's first run marked the 210th of Kiley Naomi's career, making her the Oklahoma State program record holder for career runs scored.

RBI doubles from Micaela Wark and Claire Timm added three more runs to extend the gap, 4-0. Timm set a new career high in RBI (two) with her fourth inning double.

The Cowgirls moved the game into run-rule territory with a second-consecutive four-run inning in the top of the fifth.

Back-to-back doubles from Katelynn Carwile and Naomi added OSU's fifth run of the game in the fifth inning. Factor tallied another RBI with a base knock that scored Naomi.

Wark followed up with her ninth home run of the year, a two-run blast to right center that extended the advantage, 8-0.

Aycock and the Cowgirls' defense maintained the shutout in the bottom of the fifth to secure the run-rule victory.

OSU notched their first Big 12 shutout on the road since April 1, 2022, when the Cowgirls shut out the Bears in Waco.

The Cowgirls will be back in the Lone Star State on Wednesday for a midweek contest at North Texas on May 3; first pitch against the Mean Green is set for 6 p.m. CT.

Fans can stream the game on ESPN+ or listen on The Varsity Network.
