STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is hosting again for the NCAA Baseball Tournament. The Cowboys as the No. 11 seed will host at O’Brate Stadium and will welcome in the following field for the action running from June 2-5:

2023 NCAA Baseball Stillwater Regional

1. Oklahoma State (41-18)

2. Dallas Baptist (45-14)

3. Washington (34-18)

4. Oral Roberts (46-11)

Oklahoma State opens with Oral Roberts with the longest active winning streak coming into the tournament. The Golden Eagles beat Oklahoma State twice this season 8-5 in Stillwater and 9-7 in Tulsa. Dallas Baptist will play Washington on Friday as well. Both games on Friday will be streamed on ESPN+.

Zach Lancaster is at the Cowoboys watch gathering for the NCAA announcements and he will have reaction from head coach Josh Holliday and the OSU players.

Oklahoma State or the winner of the Stillwater Regional is matched with No. 6 seed Vanderbilt, which is hosting a regional in Nashville, Tenn. on their campus. The 41-18 Commodores have Oregon (37-20), Xavier (37-23), and Eastern Illinois (38-19) at their regional.

Oklahoma State will be making the 48th NCAA Regional appearance in program history, the fourth most all time. This marks the Cowboys' 10th consecutive Regional berth under head coach Josh Holliday; they have never missed the NCAA tourney during his tenure.

This season also marks the second-straight year the Cowboys have been a Regional host and fifth time under Holliday, with the previous times in 2014, 2015, 2019 (hosted in Oklahoma City due to unplayable field conditions in Stillwater).

Oklahoma State Athletics
Action in the 2022 NCAA Stillwater Regional.

Last season Oklahoma State hosted Arkansas, Grand Canyon, and Missouri State in what many feel may have been the most exciting regional in NCAA history. It was certainly the most offensive in history setting a record for most runs scored in a regional with 148 runs scored. Oklahoma State and Missouri State scored 44 runs in one game when the Cowboys eliminated the Bears 29-15 on Sunday in the regional.

Cowboys repeat All-Big 12 second baseman Roc Riggio in his first season finished the regional 15-of-27 at the plate with 17 RBI and four home runs. What a one regional performance by Riggio!

O’Brate Stadium

O'Brate Stadium, which opened in 2021, has a capacity of 8,000. The Cowboys rank 11th in the NCAA in average home attendance this season at 5,064 fans per game.

OSU Baseball season ticket holders have an opportunity to reserve their seats for the Regional prior to Wednesday, with the remaining tickets going on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Reserved tickets will be all-session tickets with single sessions available on gameday at the O'Brate Stadium ticket windows. Prices for all-session tickets start at $60.

Also, Texas (going to Miami, Fla.), Texas Tech (going to Gainesville, Fla.), TCU (going to Fayetteville, Ark.), West Virginia (going to Lexington, Ky.), and Oklahoma (going to Stanford, Calf.) also made the NCAA out of the Big 12 Conference. Pretty good for a conference not as highly-rated by the RPI.
