Oklahoma State Baseball Picks Up Another Transfer in RHP Ethan Bosacker

STILLWATER – Eric Bosacker announced it on his social media account on Wednesday that he will be heading to Stillwater and bringing a strong right arm and some solid pitching numbers to Oklahoma State and Cowboy baseball. 

After missing his 2022 season due to injury, Bosacker came back this season and pitched 98 innings with an 8-3 record and a 3.49 ERA. He was an “Ironman” for the Muskateers with 16 starts and two complete games. He only allowed 82 hits and 38 earned runs. He struck out 101 hitters and walked just 29. He only allowed 10 doubles and 13 home runs over the season.

In the Nashville Regional in the NCAA, Bosacker pitched a complete game shut out against Eastern Illinois to send EIU packing and keep his Xavier team alive before they were eliminated by Oregon.

His career numbers in college, all at Xavier, are solid with a 12-8 record and a 4.17 ERA in 33 appearances and 166 innings. 

The 6-2, 210-pound senior is from Monicello, Minnesota. In high school, he was a four-year varsity letterman as  a right-handed pitcher. He pitched 41 innings and posted 59 strikeouts with only 33 hits for a 1.88 ERA. Bosacker earned 2018 All-Conference honors as a sophomore and junior and was named to the 2018 WWBA 17u National Championship All-Tournament Team. He was a two-sport captain in baseball and football as a junior and senior.

Bosacker is the second major transfer this summer as they also picked up fromer All-College World Series shortstop from Mississippi State Lane Forsythe.
