STILLWATER – The other day I was asked about Kasey Dunn as offensive coordinator and whether I thought he should still be in that position and calling plays. I was emphatic, Dunn is a good offensive strategist. He is a good judge of talent and he is excellent t knowin where to attack a defense. I have to give him this credit too. He knows, unfortunately, from too much experience how to compensate for what you don’t have. He has had to do it a lot.

Good article. Two deep for each position would have been nice

It is quite amazing to lose talents like JP Richardson, Stephon Johnson and Bryson Greene to the portal and still look to have a stronger unit than the 2022 group!!!!!!!!!

I'd be satisfied if we're about as good at receiver. We lost two or three studs, maybe four if little Pressley is as good as his brother. JP and Stephon Johnson looked like they'd both make an NFL camp.

My hope is the most improved position group is OL. And you don't have to have a tremendous OL for that to be true. I'd have rated our receiver group as about a 7 or 8 out of 10 most of last year, (although JP, S. Johnson and Lil'Pressley weren't utilized much for whatever reasons). Our OL, by mid to end of year, I'd have given about a 3 minus.

At receiver, Braydon Johnson was hurt a lot the last month of the season, Presley got used a lot. Younger Presely had trouble catching the ball and when he missed that ball that got picked staff lost some confidence. Injuries devastated the receivers with Bray and Blaine Green out.

The difference this season will be healthy Jaden Bray and Blaine Green combined with Brennan Presley, Rashod Owens, and transfers De'Zhaun Stribling and Arland Bruce IV. I know you haven't seen Stribling and Bruce but you will.

The new in-line tight ends will help too with Josiah Johnson and Ian Edenfield.Cole Birmingham back along with Dalton Cooper and new junior college arrival Jarrett Henry will help.

Is Birmingham going to start at guard? I know that they moved him to LT in spring, but that was just for Cooper's injury I believe. I'm glad Henry is doing well, is he a threat to start or is he a backup tackle?

Leon Johnson III is doing well, but is still not ready for a full-time role. They are working on a waiver to get him another season. He will play this year, but if they could get him a red-shirt then he would be much more prepared to succeed at a highler level in 2024.

Birmingham will start somewhere, guard or tI think Cooper is obviously a candidate to start and Henry as well.

I think Michalski is at center.with Kawecki backing up.

Jason Brooks Jr., Cooper, Birmingham, Wilson are all candidates at guard.

Springfield, Cooper, Birmingham, Henry, Harvey, and Endeas make up the top six at tackle.

The old sayings "it's what's up front that counts" and "you win it in the trenches" come to mind.

I'm with Orange, if the o-line isn't blocking well then it doesn't mater what the receivers are doing.
