STILLWATER – Just like the birthday coach Mike Gundy said the Cowboys got after it with a 100-play scrimmage and he called it “balanced.”

It was somewhat balanced as the offense made some plays with Gunnar Gundy hitting Brennan Presley for a touchdown. Ollie Gordon came through early with a touchdown run. Garret Rangel found Talyn Shettron for a touchdown in the red zone on a fourth down play.

If Bowman is going 77 untouched that's a big yikes. Hopefully that was against the walk ons or 7v7. That's so bad defensively.

They brought in the ZERO U defensive line secretly for a few plays and that was when he ripped off the long run!!!

I need a video or a further in depth explanation about how Bowman went 77 yards untouched. I'm assuming the whole defense got completely faked out and then he got some blocks down field?

well, the article says it was a reverse rollout... meaning misdirection. We likely had pulling guards and whatever to fool the defense into thinking the play was going one direction opposite of the reverse.

apparently it was executed so well that everybody was going the other direction. You usually don't do a necked bootleg, so a rollout he likely had a receiver (likely a TE, FB or RB) also break that direction.

Whomever was supposed to pick it up obviously failed and/or was blocked by the receiver.

We've been needing this type of misdirection play action for 4 years now, but SS was not that adept at rolling out and hitting receivers while on the run.
