Injury Report for Oklahoma State’s Game with Kansas State
STILLWATER – As the Oklahoma State Cowboys prepare to kick off tonight (Oct. 6) with defending Big 12 champion and 3-1 Kansas State at Boone Pickens Stadium they will be without a trio of players on the two-deep. The injury report is not deep in numbers but could be considered significant with the first name as De’Zhaun Stribling has made some of the best plays this season for the Pokes in the passing game.
Stribling is out for the Kansas State game with a hand/wrist injury. This season he has 14 receptions for 198-yards and a touchdown. He has made some clutch catches and he is averaging 14.1-yards per reception. His best game was Arizona State as he had seven catches for 65-yards and the touchdown catch from Gunnar Gundy on a ball Gundy rifled into the end zone to Stribling, who went up to get it.
In his career that includes two seasons at Washington State, Stribling has 109 receptions for 1,271-yards with 11 touchdowns.
The injury report includes two players on defense as well. Linebacker Justin Wright, who came back to play 12 plays in the second half of the Iowa State game after initially being injured in the opener, reinjured his knee and is out indefinitely. Wright, a senior that transferred from Tulsa, had two tackles in the Iowa State game.
Safety Lyrik Rawls is also out indefinitely with a knee injury. Rawls, who was starting at the strike safety position had an interception at Arizona State and has 20 tackles, 10 unassisted, two passes defended, and a fumble caused. Cameron Epps has been playing in his place as he did in the Iowa State game.
Offensive lineman in tackle Jake Springfield and guard Cole Birmingham are both good to go and ready for the Wildcats. One back-up offensive lineman in Davis Dotson is out likely one more week with a knee sprain.
Everybody else should be healthy and ready to go for Kansas State.
