Oklahoma State's Season Opener Against Sam Houston State Cancelled

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State baseball’s season opener against Sam Houston State has been cancelled due to inclement weather on the Sam Houston State campus, according to a release by Oklahoma State Athletics Media Relations.

The Cowboys are currently scheduled to open O’Brate Stadium against Little Rock on Tuesday, Feb. 23. The release stated the program is working on a possible alternative opponent for this weekend.

Should Tuesday’s game be the season opener, the weather forecast shows a beautiful day with a high of 61 degrees and mostly clear skys. While there’s still a lot of snow on the the playing surface, O’Brate’s outfield drains so much better than Allie P., so moisture shouldn’t be an issue. You almost couldn’t ask for a better day to start what has the potential of being a great season for the Pokes.
