Oklahoma State D-Line Under New Coach and Mostly New Scheme for Spring

STILLWATER –  Oklahoma State’s new defensive line coach Paul Randolph doesn’t waste mush time. He wasted no time in getting on the road and recruiting once he was hired by head coach Mike Gundy then when he got a sliver of a break he took his defensive linemen and met them over ribs, brisket, and sausage at a Stillwater BBQ joint. I caught him several times meeting individually with his players once the NCAA rules prior to the Feb. 7 signing day campused the coaches.

Huh? Either Robert has started using a AI BOT to write for him, or he's using one of those voice to text programs that is really bad with auto correct.

After I got through the rambling and brambling, poor grammar and misspelled words, I think he said the Randolph has his work cut out for him with only 3 guys that have any experience inside, and only rookies and subs to play DE.

I guess we'll have something to keep an eye on during Spring drills. I didn't think our DLine was in this bad of shape.

Great idea, a break from posts would be good for Rodeo, he is tired and cranky and needs to rest

why don't you screw off, you don't ever post except to complain about other's posts.

I pay for this service, and I should be able to complain when it is so far below any journalist standard.

Actually I feel a little better after reading this. I knew DT wasn't great (but decent/competitive) and somewhat a wash compared to last year, but I was concerned with our DE losses and couldn't recall our "upcoming depth" at DE.
Sounds to me as though we're pretty solid and would be somewhat reasonably staffed if a portal DT and DE (or a combo guy like we had from TU last year could be added. Waltershied returning would be a huge plus.
Rodeo,...... Oliver, Brown, Ross, and Johnson all played quite a bit at DE last year as I recall. It does seem like to me at least that we've missed a year on recruiting DL....especially DT. Maybe that's why Richmond is gone.

Agreed about missing a year recruiting the DL. Hopefully the portal will provide opportunities to make up for that.

"That is five quality caliber players for the inside."

I count two quality inside defensive lineman returning. I just cannot count players that have not produced in any way yet. To quote a coach from a school I cannot stand south of Stillwater...."potential is a fancy way of saying you haven't done it yet."

I'll remain hopeful, but the performance from the defense last year is still in my mind.
