STILLWATER – You never exactly know what makes a pitcher really effective in today’s baseball. Okay, I get it what I see an Alrodis Chapman throw the ball 102-miles-per-hour. One of my favorite scenes in any baseball movie is from The Rookie when Dennis Quaid as former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jimmy Morris breaking into the Majors as a 30-something high school coach and chemistry teacher.

Great article, and great information. You sold me.

I just wonder what has kept him out of the minors, usually a strong HS pitcher goes to JC to improve his draft status.
