Ready for Some Game Times, They Are Coming This Thursday
STILLWATER – The sport that is the bread winner for the vast majority of college athletic departments, football, finds out who gets the prime and plum television slots for the first three weeks of the season this coming Thursday. The networks, including ESPN and FOX, have had months to mull it over and come up with their most desired match-ups. We know some already like ABC getting the trio of games involving SEC teams like Clemson vs. Georgia in Atlanta at 11 am on Aug. 31, Miami (Fla.) at Florida at 2:30 pm, and Notre Dame at Texas A&M at 6:30 pm.
ESPN also has Colorado State at Texas at 2:30 pm. The first Big Noon Kickoff on FOX has a Big 12 team with Penn State at West Virginia. NBC has already announced they will have a primetime kick with defending national champion Michigan hosting Fresno State at 6:30 pm.
For fun and we could be wrong very easily, we will make our picks for Oklahoma State’s three non-conference games and some of the other games involving Big 12 teams. Remember the Big 12 and its’ television partners only have rights to the games hosted by Big 12 schools.

Oklahoma State getting two middle of the afternoon kickoffs in September. The Cowboys have actually fared well in that time slot in the hot early weeks of the season including a similar kickoff time with Tulsa in 2019. That game at Chapman Stadium was a real heater and the Cowboys won 40-21.
Here are some prominent Big 12 games the first three weeks and remember the bulk of these games will be streamed on ESPN+/Big 12 Now.
