STILLWATER – We’re still months out from basketball season for Oklahoma State, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any news coming out and we got some on Thursday. While we don’t have dates or tipoff times yet, the Big 12 has announced the conference match ups for both the men and the women.

The complete Big 12 schedule, which includes tipoff times, dates and television details will be announced in the coming months.

The conference has them listed as Home-and-away, Home-only and Away-only. The Cowboys will be playing home and away games against UCF, Houston, Kansas State, Texas Tech and Utah, home-only games against Arizona, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Colorado and Iowa State and will be playing away-only games against Baylor, BYU, Kansas, TCU and West Virginia.

As for the Cowgirls, they’ll be playing home-and-away games against Cincinnati and West Virginia, home-only games against Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas State and TCU, and away-only games against Baylor, BYU, UCF, Houston, Texas Tech and Utah.

According to the release from Oklahoma State, “pairings were selected by the conference based on a combination of geography, historical results and a poll of the coaches to best balance the schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness.”

Our schedule looks really favorable, IMO - mostly looking at the Away-only games, and getting some of the tougher teams at home.

our home-n-home opponents don't look as daunting as they could have either.

Was thinking the same thing. Obviously, the trip to Lawrence is going to be tough for a first-year head coach, but not having to go to Hilton is a big plus.
