Overall Thoughts on Big 12 Football Media Days: League Future, Gundy Comments, Who's Good?

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Anyone that says the temperature in the desert isn’t that bad because it is a dry heat hasn’t been to the desert recently. Coming out of Allegiant Stadium both Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon you could not touch the metal hand rails on stairs. You couldn’t without serious skin burns. The air felt like an oven. I’m not complaining. I will take heat over a cold rain anyday on the sidelines. Kicking off the season opener at 1 p.m.

Our culture probably recognizes people mess up sometimes and don't say the politically correct things.....especially when trying to joke. It wasn't the perfect PC response, but few are perfect.

I believe he was inferring that if Ollie doesn't get punished, then they won't either when they do the same thing... i.e. erosion of culture. A new culture of do what you want because there is no consequence vis a vie the team, or a culture of double standard exists.

I think it is a decent question to ask.

Too bad we don't open with a cupcake this year or Gordon would likely be sitting out some time and this would be a non issue. Fans have been clamoring for a tougher non conference schedule for years so we get SDSU coming off of back to back natty's and an SEC team.

Yes, I am. It's a whole new reality in college football. Gordon should be fine. Seems like a great kid with too much energy. I can relate . Except for the kid part. That's long long gone.
