STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball has added former star Chyenne Factor to its staff as the Director of Player Development, head coach Kenny Gajewski announced today.

Following an illustrious five-year career with the Cowgirls from 2019-2023, Factor spent the 2024 season as a graduate manager with Oklahoma State as she helped OSU to its fifth-consecutive Women's College World Series and played a role in seven Cowgirls attaining NFCA all-region honors this past season.

"I think it's a credit to the program any time that we can bring back one of our former players as part of the full-time staff," Coach Gajewski said. "The experience that Chy brings, both as a player and a graduate manager, will be invaluable to the girls and our staff."

A five-year starter at Oklahoma State in her playing days, she is third on the all-time career list for games played (262). Factor was the centerpiece of OSU's outfield as she helped lead the Cowgirls to a Big 12 Championship in 2022 and four-straight WCWS appearances.

A model of consistency throughout her career, Factor was a .334 hitter with 223 hits, 146 RBI and 29 homers while maintaining an on-base percentage of .430. She ranks inside the top 10 of several OSU career record charts, including hits (10th), runs scored (136, eighth), RBI (ninth) and home runs (tied for seventh).

"This place has given me more than I deserve over the past six years," Factor said. "To be able to continue to be a part of it is really special to me. The amount of love I have for this program, the people in it, and the Stillwater community really can't be put into words and I am just thankful for this opportunity. Go Pokes!"

Factor could do it all as a fielder and hitter.

Factor was a standout off the field as well, as she was named an Academic All-American in 2023 to go with four Academic All-Big 12 honors earned throughout her career.

"Chy is one of the best players we've ever had in my time here as head coach," Gajewski said. "She exemplifies the Cowgirl Way every single day and I can't wait to watch her grow into this new role with us."
