How long do you want to ignore this user?
If we are going to have struggles in the running game, may need to go back and do some of the things we did in 2015, when we also struggled with the running game, but Yurcich cams up with different ways to utilize the passing game to offset the run deficiencies and we won ten games that season!!!

I understand the concept of passing the ball when the opposing defense stacks the box, but I would assume the 'box was stacked' a lot last year and we sure ran the ball well…don't get why it is so difficult to run the ball this year.,

We have utilized inside and outside zone plays most of the year, which has been a staple for us for a long time! , Last year beginning with K State we utilized more gap scheme blocking with more runs along the edges because of Josiah Johnson's effectiveness at sealing the edge and springing Ollie loose!!! Arkansas and Utah both have interior line man in the four man front that are in the 310 to 320 range weight wise and they basically clog the lanes between the guards and center to try and force more lateral movement by the back as he looks more to the outside for the open hole but Ollie seems to run right into the teeth of the defense!!! If you have linebackers that pursue well they can negate any long runs of say more than five yards by locking up the back at the line of scrimmage!!! Both were successful doing that against us, we used some gap schemes in the second half against Arkansas and had a little bit more success running the ball!
