STILLWATER – If you are looking for the “orange” lining to the Big 12 opening loss to Utah it can be found on the defensive side of the football. Number always tell just part of the story, but Oklahoma State defended 81 plays against a good college football offense in Utah. Yes, Cam Rising did not play quarterback as he was compromised still by the hand injury suffered in the Baylor game in week two.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Sure, the defense gave up some yards, but they played contextually well. The offense and quarterback placed them in horrible positions for 3/4 of the game.

Dunn's performance was atrocious. Bowman clearly was terrible and way off but Dunn never adjusted his play calling to the realities of the heat nor the game. He did the D no favors and kept trying to force the ball where there was nothing. Hence 3 and out. 3 and out. 3 and out. A total lack of imagination on offense.
