PROVO, Utah – Alan Bowman had just finished off an 17 play, 76-yard drive that took a whopping 8:22 off the fourth quarter clock as Bowman, in for relief since the second quarter for starter Garret Rangel, had hit Brennan Presley for the fifth time in that drive, this time six-yards into the end zone to give Oklahoma State a 35-31 lead over unbeaten and No, 13 BYU in front of a very raccous Cougars crowd.

Gundy made mistakes at both coordinator spots. Time for a reset, spend the money and get some legit guys with experience. Otherwise, this ship is gonna be tough to turn, at a most inopportune time with the Big12 ripe for a power program to take hold.

The rush 4 drop 7 into zone coverage was the most passive thing we could have done.

Why would you put a freshman in on the most important drive of the game and expect him to not lose contain on his rush. He has basically not played all year. Our DL has gotten worse this year under a new coach. Not impressed with what he has done with basically the same guys. I get that Oliver has been hurt but the others certainly have not improved. This loss is. On the coaching.

I thought we had half of our defense out... pretty sure

Worst defense in the league by a country mile. Fire Nardo today.

Like Bill Parcells said, all the prevent does is prevent you from winning!!! Also Cam Smith had the receiver at the 12 yard line, he just HAD TO WRAP UP! That receiver really didn't break that tackle Cam didn't finish!!! But he shouldn't be singled out because there were missed tackles at the 6 yard line and 3 yard line as well!!!

Was not talking about LB's containing the pocket is the job of the DL and that failure cost us a 30 yard run before the game winning pass. Hate the prevent defense also. The new DL coach has not helped move Clements back.

I am agreeing with you don't put a first year freshman in there who is probably playing out of position, his natural position is linebacker, and put in the more veteran guys who will know not to get too far upfield and lose containment!!! However, many times a linebacker with Martins speed and skill who breaks off of coverage can keep that to a ten or fifteen yard run instead of a thirty yard run!!!

If we lose the next three games in a row, I think there is a 50% chance Nardo gets fired. Jim Knowles was only an extra 500k. Still the nuttiest thing ever but also a classic example of how slow OSU moves on the personnel front.

Losing leadership and our top three defenders one at each group is difficult. But when one of your remaining top defenders and leaders decided not to put out effort, it has to be demoralizing.

Coaching moves happening around the country. Utah's OC "stepping down". Oklahoma's OC fired. East Carolina HC fired. December is gonna get interesting- (possibly no bowl) , coaches, portal , signing class (with decommitment by one within hours of BYU loss). So disappointing this year. . Truly hoping for and wanting the best for the program. #loyalandtrue
