Cowgirl Softball Opens Season No. 5 According to D1Softball

STILLWATER – Preseason softball rankings continue to roll out, with Oklahoma State checking in at No. 5 in the D1Softball preseason poll.

The Cowgirls start their season here in a few weeks on February 6 as they’ll face preseason No. 8 Florida State in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge. That’s just one of two matchups between these two teams, but the Cowgirls will face 12 of the preseason top 25 teams. 

Starting top to bottom, the Cowgirls will face:

• No. 2 Texas (April 23)
• No. 3 Oklahoma (April 9)
• No. 4 UCLA (Feb. 14)
• No. 8 Florida State (Feb. 6 & 8)
• No. 9 Texas A&M (Feb. 15)
• No. 12 Arizona (April 4-6)
• No. 13 Texas Tech (March 7-9)
• No. 14 Nebraska (Feb. 28)
• No. 15 Georgia (March 26)
• No. 17 Alabama (Feb. 16)
• No. 21 Baylor (March 21-23)
• No. 25 Penn State (March 29)

And there’s a good chance you’ll see a few other teams the Cowgirls face finding their way into the top 25 at some point this season.
