Cowgirl Softball Featured in Three Nationally Televised Games In Clearwater Invitational
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team will have three of its five games at the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational televised nationally on the ESPN family of networks, ESPN announced Monday morning.
The Cowgirls begin their tournament with a top-10 matchup against 2024 Women’s College World Series participant No. 6 UCLA at 2 p.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 14, which can be seen on ESPN2. The Pokes and Bruins met on a national stage last season in Los Angeles, where OSU’s 9-1, five-inning win over UCLA aired on ESPN.
Oklahoma State finishes its first day of competition with a 2024 NCAA Stillwater Regional rematch against Kentucky at 5 p.m. CT that will be streamed on ESPN+.
Another top-10 meeting awaits OSU on Saturday, Feb. 15, as the Cowgirls face off against No. 7 Texas A&M at 9 a.m. CT on ESPN2. The Pokes and Aggies last met at the 2023 Clearwater Invitational, an 8-0, six-inning victory for OSU.
The Cowgirls are back in action Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. CT against Auburn on ESPN+. It’s the first meeting between the two programs since the 2016 Michele Smith Pediatric Cancer Foundation Invitational (now the Clearwater Invitational), which was a 6-1 loss for OSU in head coach Kenny Gajewski’s first season at the helm.
Oklahoma State concludes its tournament in the national spotlight with a matchup against 2024 WCWS participant No. 11 Alabama set for 5 p.m. CT on Sunday, Feb 16, on ESPN.
The Cowgirls open their season against No. 12 Florida State at 10 a.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 6 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
