Oklahoma State Lands No. 2 2026 Wrestler Jax Forrest
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and David Taylor have just added another top 5 wrestler in the 2026 class. On Thursday morning, Jax Forrest, the No. 3 overall prospects in the class, announced his commitment to the Pokes live on FloWrestling.
“Through all the ups and the downs, and with my parents, I can proudly say I’m going to be going to Oklahoma State with coach [David] Taylor, coach [Thomas] Gilman, Jimmy [Kennedy], [Tyler] Caldwell, all those guys. I’m super thankful for everything they’ve done for me, for my coaches and parents and all my teammates. I’m glad and I don’t have any regrets, and I won’t have any regrets about going to Oklahoma State.”

Forrest chose the Pokes over Iowa, Ohio State, Penn State.
Forrest is out of Bishop McCort and is the teammate for the No. 1 overall wrestler in the class, Bo Bassett, joining fellow top five prospects in Dreshaun Ross, the No. 3 overall prospect who committed to the Pokes earlier this week.
These two commitments are big for the Pokes as Bishop McCort is an hour and a half from State College and Penn State, and Fort Dodge, IA, where Ross attends HS, is less than three hours from Iowa City and Iowa.
Forrest has two Super 32 titles, a U17 World silver medal and two Fargo Junior freestyle titles.
