Will the CFB watching public continue to watch the "big boys" play week to week (games that include Rutgers vs Maryland and Vandy vs S Caro. ) full well knowing those games don't impact anything that happens in regards to the playoff?

Will ESPN / Fox pay for that lineup? With a bunch of people / viewers tuning out?

Will KSU and OSU fans continue to watch their teams knowing they can't compete with the high profile programs? (They can't now but that another topic)

if the conference champions cannot get a first week bye, then they need to scrap that whole structure and cut it down to 8 team - no byes.
