Bloodworth's HR the Difference as No. 15 Oklahoma State Beats All-American Jordy Bahl
WICHITA, Kan. – A complete game shutout from Ruby Meylan and a solo home run from Megan Bloodworth lifted No. 16/15 Oklahoma State Softball to a 1-0 win over No. 18/16 Nebraska Friday at Wilkins Stadium. The Cowgirls extended their winning streak to seven games and improved to 11-4 overall, while the Cornhuskers dropped to 13-5 with the loss. It was OSU's fifth win over a ranked opponent this season.

The Cowgirls doubled their fun beating Missouri later in the afternoon 4-3. That win put the Cowgirls at 12-4 on the season. Megan Delgadillo laid down a perfect bunt to push in the winning run from third base. On top of that the Cowgirls called back Ruby Meylan to the circle and she came back in time to collect her second win of the day.
The earlier game featured a matchup of All-America pitchers in Oklahoma State's Meylan and Nebraska's Jordy Bahl. With only one run scored, the contest matched what most would have expected. Both pitchers surrendered just two hits apiece, with Meylan striking out nine batters and walking only one. Bahl struck out eight but walked five and surrendered Bloodworth's game-winning solo home run.
Bloodworth's homer was her fourth of the year to match her entire 2024 season total.

Meylan improved to 6-0 after working her way through a seventh-inning jam that saw the Huskers get runners on the corners with nobody out. Meylan got Emmerson Cope to ground out to third base, then she struck out Kacie Hoffman before sealing the win by forcing Ava Bredwell to pop out to third. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Meylan struck out nine batters in a dominant performance against the program she grew up supporting throughout her youth. As part of the contest, Meylan recorded the 400th strikeout of her career.
Bahl fell to 6-3 on the year with the loss.
The contest marked the first shutout against a top 20 team since the Pokes shut out Arizona in last year's NCAA Stillwater Super Regional.
Oklahoma State now heads back to Stillwater to open their home season with Drake and Tulsa in a doubleheader at Cowgirls Stadium on Sunday.
