Oklahoma Sets Program Record With Six Players on NABC Honors Court
STILLWATER – While it wasn’t the most ideal season in 2024-25 for Oklahoma State, things on the court improved in all areas from the previous season. Things were also improved in the classroom as the Cowboys set a program record with six players on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.
The program also earned an Academic Team Excellence Award. This marked the second time in the past three seasons OSU has earned the award.
Arturo Dean, Kirk Cole, Robert Jennings II, Mikey Kelvin, C.J. Smith and Patrick Suemnick all made the Honors Court, which is given to a student-athlete of at least junior status who made a 3.2 or higher GPA during the 2024-25 academic year.
As for the Academic Team Excellence Award, it’s given to a program that’s achieving at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0. The Cowboys posted a 3.14 GPA during the fall and a much improved 3.51 during the spring semester.
Even more so than last season, this year’s team is going to look totally different. Steve Lutz and Co. return just two scholarship players from last year’s team in Jennings and Andrija Vukovich.
