KOTV Channel 6 Tulsa Names Braeden Presley Top 10 Player No. 9 in Oklahoma
STILLWATER – The name Presley has dominated news in high school football for the better part of the last decade in Tulsa County and in the State of Oklahoma. Now, there are Presley’s playing football from the NFL to Class 6A-I in Oklahoma. Bixby has had 10 state championships and nearly every oneof those has involved contributions from the Presley family. The youngest is Braeden Presley and KOTV CHannel 6 in Tulsa just made him one of their Top 10 Players in Oklahoma. Presley, a two-way star for the large school dominating program at Bixby, is also committed to Oklahoma State in the 2026 recruiting class.
“Nobody is really playing receiver and DB anymore, they are going one-side or the other,” Presley said of his playing both ways, a lot like last season’s Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter at Colorado. “I feel like me being able to play both sides is kind of special.”
Bixby head coach Loren Montgomery has coached all three of the Presley brothers starting with Brennan, who went on to become Oklahoma State’s all-time leading receiver in number of receptions. He was a valuable contributor to the Cowboys success, and last weekend showed he will be a threat to make the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent. Presley caught a touchdown pass, had a 15-yard gain on a jet sweep, and also had a 38-yard kickoff return in the Rams preseason opening win over Dallas.
The middle Presley brother, Braylin, started at Oklahoma State, but transferred to Tulsa, where he is set to be a major weapon this season in new head coach Tre Lamb’s offensive attack for the Golden Hurricane.
The younger Presley eclipsed 1,000 all-purpose yards as a junior in another state championship season for the Spartans. Braeden caught 25 passes for 356-yards and four touchdowns on 14.2 yards per reception. He rushed for 245-yards and a pair of touchdowns on 14 carries. Presley also threw a 55-yard TD pass. On defense he recorded 39 tackles, four interceptions, one fumble caused and another fumble recovered that he returned 100-yards for a touchdown. he also had 400-plus return yards, averaging 19.9 yards on kickoff returns and 10.7 yards on punt returns.
“We expect him to grow and get better, after early in his career here he had a couple of injuries that kind of set him back a little bit,” emphasized Montgomery. “That Presley last name comes with high expectations. Lets not call it pressure, lets call it high expectations. Braeden continues to grow and be a sponge. We are so proud of him.”
Braeden told Raven Ray of KOTV CHannel 6 Sports that he embraces the family ties and uses his older brothers and their experience to work toward meeting those high expectations.
“If I’m struggling then I’ll just call them and I’ll just see what they say about it,” Presley said. “They’ve been here and they’ve played in these big stages, They know what’s going to happen. Not a lot of people can say they playe Fridays and then watch their brothers play on Saturday and Sunday. It’s just a special thing to do.”
It is, and with Braeden at Bixby, Braylin at Tulsa, and I bleieve Brennan will make it with the Rams, there will be a Presley for all three days of most fall football weekends.
