STILLWATER – One of, if not the top player on Oklahoma State’s 2026 board is set to announce his commitment on Thursday afternoon. Owasso four-star wing, Jalen Montonati, will announce where he’ll play his college ball on Thursday afternoon at 2.
Montonati, who’s the son of former OSU standout Brian Montonati, checks in at 6-7, 175 pounds, and is set for a standout senior season with the Rams.
He’s received over 20 offers, which include OSU and OU, who Pokes Report has been told are the leaders in the clubhouse to land Jalen, Alabama, Arkansas, BYU, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Ohio State, St. John’s, Tennessee and Texas A&M among others.
He’s a two-time Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year, who averaged more than 23 points and six rebounds a game this past season as a junior.
Pardon the basketball pun, but Steve Lutz and Co. have been on a full-court press to land Jalen. They’ve been over to Owasso several times in the months leading up to tomorrow’s announcement, put him atop the list.
He’s already taken his official visit to OU at the beginning of the month, and is set to be in Stillwater this weekend for his official visit. Could he be coming on the visit as a Cowboy commit? It’s certainly possible, and that’s the hope for Lutz and Co.
