STILLWATER – For just the second time in the past 20+ years, the Oklahoma State football staff is going through a complete overhaul. Mike Gundy fired all 10 assistant coaches following the 2024 season, and Eric Morris is not keeping any of the 10 primary assistants from this year’s staff.

Doug Meacham, Clint Bowen, Cooper Bassett, Andrew Mitchell were let go this week.

hopefully this is an attempt to get the payroll back into the realm of fiscal sanity.... and not simply massive pay raises for his closest buds

It definitely won't be massive pay raises for his buddies. Well, they'll be getting paid more here than they were, but it won't be comparative to what the former OSU coaches were being paid. He's just wanting to bring his own guys in who know his system and aren't a part of the past two seasons. Fresh start with his system.
