Oklahoma State the Fifth Seed and Will Face Fourth Seed UCF on Thursday
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State baseball finished the regular season with a 36-19 overall record and an 18-12 record in Big 12 play following a series win over Arizona. With that, the Pokes are the fifth seed in the upcoming Big 12 tournament and will face fourth seed UCF on Thursday at 11 a.m. CT.
The Big 12 tournament is taking place in Surprise, AZ, which is a suburb on the northwest side of Phoenix.
This is going to be an important game for the Pokes as they were swept by UCF in the Big 12 series opener. But they really turned things around in late April as they swept Texas Tech, TCU, took two out of three against Arizona State in Tempe and took two out of three against Arizona in Stillwater this weekend.
The Knights finished the regular season 31-20 overall on the year and 19-11 in Big 12 play. When it comes to common opponents, UCF took two out of three against TCU, swept Arizona, two out of three against Baylor and finished the regular season with two out of three against K-State. They were swept by Kansas, dropped two out of three to Cincinnati and dropped two out of three to Arizona State.
