Kollin Ritchie Announces Return to Oklahoma State for Senior Season

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State is getting its slugger back for the 2027 season. Moments before getting drafted in the 20th round by the St. Louis Cardinals, Kollin Ritchie took to his Instagram to announce he’s returning to Stillwater for his senior season.

Ritchie, who was believed to be the first Cowboy taken somewhere in the first four rounds in the 2026 MLB Draft, fell all the way to the 594th pick. It’s unclear as to why, but it’s the gain of Josh Holliday and Co. 

Ritchie had one of the best junior seasons in Stillwater we’ve seen in a while. He finished the season with a .326 batting average, 81 runs scored, 75 RBIs and 31 home runs, which are the second most by a Cowboy hitter in program history, behind only Pete Incaviglia’s NCAA record 48.

A semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award and Dick Howser Trophy, Ritchie led the team with 20 multi-RBI games and finished the year ranked in the top 12 nationally in home runs (31), total bases (185), runs (81), slugging percentage (.804) and RBIs (75).
