OSU Cowboys in NFL: Who Survived Final Cuts on Sunday, Aug. 30? - Tracker
STILLWATER – This was the final week of NFL preseason games and those led into the final cuts weekend with all NFL teams needing to be down to their 53-man roster by 6 p.m. (eastern) on Sunday, Aug. 30. I’d like to see as many former Oklahoma State players land on NFL teams as possible, but honestly, I’m looking at one situation the most intent. Oklahoma State all-time leading receiver by number of receptions Bixby’s own Brennan Presley made the L.A. Rams practice squad last season and was activatedlates in the year. I believe he has done more than enough as a receiver and in the return game to be on the Rams opening day roster.
There will be some interesting climax stories to the preseason involving former Cowboys like punter Wes Pahl in Cleveland. In Green Bay, it looked like scatback Jaden Nixon had shown up big and we knew edge and outside linebacker veteran Collin Oliver was under pressure.
Below is a active cut list and made the squad list for former Oklahoma State Cowboys that we are constantly updating. It also includes some stat updates from the final weekend of preseason games. For some of those players, it might be their last football experience.
Arizona Cardinals
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
| None | Bryson Green, WR, Oklahoma State/Wisconsin |
Atlanta Falcons
Injury issues at the edge are going to help Kendal Daniels, but the athletic native of Beggs, Okla. may have made it anyway. He had one tackle that was unassisted and a quarterback hit in the last preseason game, a 17-12 win over Miami.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
| Kendal Daniels, LB/Edge, (R), Oklahoma State/OU | None |
Baltimore Ravens
Justice Hill did not play in the final preseason game.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
| Justice Hill, RB, (8), Oklahoma State | None |
Carolina Panthers
Glass played in the game with the Texans that Carolina won 16-13, but Hubbard didn’t suit up as the Panthers don’t need to see him in the preseason.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
|
Chuba Hubbard, RB, (6), Oklahoma State |
Isaia Glass, OL, (R), Arizona St./Oklahoma State/Vandy |
Chicago Bears
Richardson had one catch for five-yards and an unassisted tackle on special teams in the final preseason game, a 24-15 win over Tennessee.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
| None | J.P. Richardson, WR, (1), Oklahoma State/TCU |
Cleveland Browns
The only former Cowboy that played in the 37-13 win over the New England Patriots for the final preseason contest was punter Wes Pahl, who was brought in for a short punt and he pinned New England down near the goal line with a 35-yard pooch. Pahl also held on all three of the mad field goals. It sure looked good for him with his versatility but the Browns did release him Sunday afternoon. I think he is a shoe in for the practice squad if he clears waivers.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
|
Teven Jenkins, OL, (6), Oklahoma State Tylan Wallace, WR, (6), Oklahoma State |
Wes Pahl, P/K/H, (R), W.Kentucky/Oklahoma State |
Denver Broncos
Parker Robertson as an undrafted free agent and a former walkon at Oklahoma State had four tackles, two unassisted, a tackle-for--loss, and recovered a fumble in the 34-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings. If he doesn’t make the team, then I hope the Broncos consider him for their practice squad. Remember, he is a special teams dynamo too.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
|
None |
Israel Antwine, DT, (1), Oklahoma State Parker Robertson, Saf, (R), Oklahoma State |
Detroit Lions
The Lions beat the Colts 25-16 in the final preseason game and Tay Martin had four receptions on five targets for 16-yards and a touchdown. We know know that Martin has made the team.
On defense Amen Ogbongbemiga had three tackles, one unassisted, Jason Taylor II had two unassisted tackles, Tyler Lacy had one unassisted tackle, and Malcolm Rodriguez, locked into a roster spot, did not play in the game. The Lions likely will have more former Cowboys on their roster this season than any other NFL team. I think that is guaranteed. The 53-man roster came out at 8:13 p.m. central
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
|
Thomas Harper, Saf, (3), Oklahoma State/Notre Dame Tay Martin, WR, (1), Wash. St./Oklahoma State Malcolm Rodriguez, LB, (5), Oklahoma State |
Tyler Lacy, DT, (4), Oklahoma State Amen Ogbongbemiga, LB, (6), Oklahoma State Jason Taylor II, Saf, (2), Oklahoma State |
Green Bay Packers
Jaden Nixon was busy in the 42-38 win over Arizona in the final preseason game. Nixon had nine carries for 44-yards and an average of 4.9-yards a carry. He also caught two passes. He had one punt return for no yards. I’m a little concerned on Collin Oliver as he did not play. I guess that is because the Packers had seen what they wanted to see.

Collin Oliver, LB/Edge, (2), Oklahoma State |
Dalton Cooper, OT, (1), Oklahoma State Jaden Nixon, RB, (R), Oklahoma State/WMU/UCF |

Kenneth Harris, CB, (R), Oklahoma State Josh Sills, OG, (3), West Virginia/Oklahoma State |
Jacksonville Jaguars
Jabbar Muhammad has had a bunch of tackles in the preseason games for the Jaguars, which for a corner can be a good or bad thing. He had five in each of the first two games and in the 19-0 win over Tampa Bay had three tackles, two unassisted.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
| None | Jabbar Muhammad, CB, (1), Oregon/Washington/Okla.State |
Kansas City Chiefs
I’m not sure this was a big surprise as Ogbah has been moving around lately. He has a veteran salary with a high dollar contract, so he takes up some cap room. He is a veteran defensive lineman and those can be in demand, so look to see if he gets claimed off waivers.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
| None |
Tanner McCalister, Saf, (3), Oklahoma State/Ohio St. Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, (11), Oklahoma State |
Los Angeles Rams
Brennan Presley may have put the finishing touch on making the opening day Rams roster as he caught six passes on seven targets for an economic 32-yards but accounted for a touchdown. He had a very productive preseason and training camp.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
| Brennan Presley, WR/Ret, (1), Oklahoma State | None |
Miami Dolphins
Gordon did not play in the final preseason game with Atlanta, but Green had two tackles, both unassisted.

| Still on the Squad | Was Released |

New York Giants
Trace Ford did all he could do in the 23-6 win over the crosstown Jets to make a great final impression as he had five tackles, four unassisted, a sack, three tackles-for-loss, and two passes defended. Black, a veteran, had two passes defended and an unassisted tackle.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |

Korie Black, CB, (2), Oklahoma State |
Trace Ford, OLB/Edge, (1), Oklahoma State/OU |
New York Jets
Dominic Richardson, trying to make the team, carried five times for 13-yards and also caught a pass for 12-yards. Jelani Woods caught two passes for only eight-yards as the Jets lost to the Giants 23-6.
| Still on the Squad | Was Released |
|
Jelani Woods, TE, (5), Oklahoma State/UVA |
Dominic Richardson, RB, (R), Oklahoma State/Baylor/Tulsa |
Pittsburgh Steelers
Quarterback Mason Rudolph hasn’t played since preseason week one when head coach Mike McCarthy announced Rudolph had done all he needed to see and was locked in as the back up behind Aaron Rogers. Running back Jaylen Warren only played in the second preseason game. In the one point loss to Buffalo (28-27) Anthony Goodlow had three tackles, two unassisted, a tackle-for-loss, and a quarterback hit.

San Francisco 49ers
A good sign for the two former Cowboys with San Francisco in linebacker Nick Martin and receiver De’Zhaun Stribling as neither played in the 18-12 win over the Las Vegas Raiders to wrap up the preseason.
