I have a prediction based on one thing, and one thing only. Because We, as Poke fans, always overestimate the skill of athletes at OSU vs the rest of the country, I predict Martin will perform above average in his 40 time, but nothing extraordinary, or even at the top of the list. Not being a hater, just trying to re-calibrate the view I personally have been guilty of falling victim to. Hope I'm wrong.

sounds like you're being a hater, even if you make a weak disclaimer.

I believe it is more likely complete 180, where we do overestimate the skill of many of our players, as you say, but I differ in the aspect of I believe that OSU does get occasional players with extraordinary skills, like Tyreek, like Barry, like many others that I will not try to name here.

Whether he'll get a high 40 time for his position group or not, I have no idea, whether he could be one of the best at his position, I have no idea. But many think so.

Just because you have grown to hate OSU does not mean that all of the players deserve it.

For someone with no opinion on the matter you sure like to bash those that do.

You never fail to deliver Mr "Never Present" CaliforniaCowboy.

I'm never correct and YOU have an opinion on the matter. Hmmm… let's see.
Your words - " Whether he'll get a high 40 time for his position group or not, I have no idea, whether he could be one of the best at his position, I have no idea." I am correct, you don't have an opinion.

Baiting you into saying something ridiculous is money. Pure money.

Names? I don't know, you are California Cowboy. And you are Never Present at OSU athletic events. So, if addressing you with the truth is calling you names, I guess so.

As predicted, Martin was good, but not at the top of the list for 40 times amongst LB's. In fact, he was 5th out of 16 that posted times. Further, he won't be anywhere near the top-5 times from all positions in that WR, RB, CB and Safeties have yet to test. No doubt Martin is fast, but nothing unworldly.

I wish him nothing but good luck, and will be rooting hard for him in the NFL.

OMG.

top 5 is "AT THE TOP OF THE LIST". Certainly you did not mean literally at the top, that would be a stupid statement for anybody to make, and I don't believe anybody but RA ever said he was the fastest in the country and he couched that with "could be" and TOP 5, which he was spot on.. These are the best in the country, making him clearly one of the best of the best. OUTSTANDING, just like reported by RA.

Good lord man, when you're flat as dead wrong, you still claim you're right?

I'm out. Later

I knew I'd draw you out and you wouldn't surprise anyone with another ridiculous comment.

My original post "predicted" RAs (and only RAs, not what you or others may have said) statement would not come true. His statement was - "I've said, with a number of skeptics, that I think Nick Martin will be the fastest linebacker at the combine and that he could run a top five time overall in this NFL Combine."

Martin was good, but not number 1 as RA predicted. 5th out of 16 is nothing extraordinary, just above average as I predicted. And he won't be Top 5 overall when he's just 5th for LBs. He likely falls to lower than 20th after the WRs, RBs, CBs and Safties test.

Dude, I know it's painful to realize you were wrong. Just quit digging and admit it and/or move on.

At last count, Martins 40 time was 31st.
